Kate Prior writes cozy, steamy, hilarious monster romances. The humor is dry and the spice is concerningly wet.
Like any office worker constantly updating her resume, Kate transfers her day-job graphic design skills to her books, illustrating her own covers and character art, as well as her long-held vendetta towards emails. She lives in the mythical land of Central NJ with her boyfriend and her cat. As it says on her driver’s license, her bagel order is a toasted sesame with veggie cream cheese.
Somewhere during junior high school she dragged her family’s old beige Windows 95 machine out of the basement, and played hooky from school just so she could write her stories on it. She asked her mom if she was allowed to write kissing scenes on the obsolete clunker she had declared her own.
Mom said no. Here we are.
When she’s not writing, she likes to spend time knitting, painting, teaching herself 2D animation, wire-wrapping, embroidering, miniature model making, ing, ing, ing. She believes deeply in the importance of being just-kind-of-ok at several things, wearing sweatpants and being covered in cat fur.
